Delver marries the first-person simplicity of Doom and the randomness of the roguelike in such an admirably straightforward way that I’m sorry it doesn’t get more praise. I’ve championed it before as a cheap ‘n’ cheerful adventure that’ll keep you occupied for a few afternoons. The delver can hold its breath for 15 minutes. Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the delver has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom checks that rely on sight. The delver makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.

The Delver is essentially a scaled-up, massive Digger. They share the same behaviors and attacks, but have more HP and deal more damage. The Delver belongs to the Digger faction.

The Delver does not wield any weapons, but attacks with its own natural weapons. Like the Digger, the Delver has the same has 4 attack patterns:

  • Claw strike
  • Strong claw strike
  • Combo of claw strikes
  • The monster's signature speedy body-roll
